The removals industry often set the standard for health and safety in the workplace as a big part of their job is manual handling. Tasked with loading and unloading vehicles, some companies may be fortunate to have a lorry or large van with an external lift to complete the job but if not, the options are limited.
Stanley present the PowerMate LiftGate.
This is a reliable option to help make the van loading process a lot easier and more importantly, safer. The LiftGate is an internally-fitted lifting arm that enables the operator to manoeuvre kegs, chillers, barrels and beyond from the rear or side door of a van onto the ground level with one simple movement. This lifting device takes up minimal space inside the van, and is protected from the elements unlike traditional external lifts. The swing arm allows you to position the load inside the vehicle and saves the need to manhandle the load.
There are 2 versions offered: the LG-3 and LG-6. Both versions can be equipped with either a left or right-hand mounting configuration and can lift 114kg-227kg respectively.
Once the load is out of the vehicle, it then needs to be transported into the new office, home or flat. If there are stairs involved, it can be a strenuous task to move the load safely and efficiently.
That’s where Stanley stairclimbers come in. We offer tailor-made stair climbing solutions that are designed to make life for those who handle the various goods associated with the removals industry much easier.
The first product we offer that is ideal for the removals industry is the Sprinter.
This is a compact, ergonomic and ultra-lightweight powered stairclimber. With a weight capacity of up to 170kg, this model is of lightweight aluminium construction. It’s highly portable and able to fold down easily into the boot of a van, truck or lorry, depending on your fleet. This machine is an ideal solution for transporting heavy boxes, chests of drawers, wardrobes and more.
The second powered stairclimbing solution we present is the PowerMate Pogo. This light-duty motorised hand truck is commonly used to move slightly smaller items, such as bedside cabinets. Not only does it reduce property and product damage but delivers a strong level of control to the operator.
