Hospitality is all about people, looking after them and making the right impressions. Countless amounts of supplies must be transported seamlessly across the various types of accommodation, sometimes under the watchful eye of customers. So, when it comes to hauling heavy boxes by hand from van to floor it poses a challenge. Obviously, this needs to be done in a safe and professional manner, especially considering the stringent and ever-developing health and safety legislation in play.

The problem is, unless you have a larger truck or lorry with an external lift and trolley system, it’s still very much a manual process and it is hard to see where improvements can be made.

In light of this, Stanley present the PowerMate LiftGate.

The LiftGate is an internally-fitted lifting arm that enables the operator to manoeuvre large boxes, replacement chests of drawers and beyond from the rear or side door of a van onto the ground level with one simple movement. This lifting device takes up minimal space inside the van, and is protected from the elements unlike traditional external lifts. The swing arm allows you to position the load inside the vehicle and saves the need to manhandle the load.

There are 2 versions offered: the LG-3 and LG-6. Both versions can be equipped with either a left or right-hand mounting configuration and can lift 114kg-227kg respectively.

Once the load is at ground level, that’s part of the challenge completed, but now it’s necessary to manoeuvre it into the building itself. This often involves stairs, especially in small B&Bs where lifts are not necessarily present. To make this part of the process easier, Stanley present our range of industry-leading stairclimbing solutions.

Firstly, we present the PowerMate Pogo. The Pogo is capable of lifting up to 100kg up and down stairs, at the touch of a button. This motorised hand truck is rigid and very much built to last. It’s highly portable and good for jobs on the go.

For slightly heavier loads, we suggest the Sprinter. The Sprinter can lift up to 170kg, and of lightweight aluminium construction which means it’s easy to carry. It’s highly portable and can folded into the back of the van, which makes it an ideal product for those on the go.
