Stanley handling is a Regulatory Body for Workplace Transport Training (RTITB) registered training organisation. We offer a range of certificated courses combining theoretical and practical elements to ensure operators use our machines safely and compliantly.

Our expert trainers can deliver courses either at your own premises or at our dedicated training school in Luton. Upon successful completion of our training courses, which last for one day, candidates will receive an identification card to signify they are an approved operator and a professional training certificate.

Our certificated stairclimber operator training enables future operators to pick up the necessary skills to operate any given Stanley stair climber without supervision. The programme comprises of detailed theory and full practical training. It also covers the importance of health and safety legislation (including the Health and Safety at Work Act), and goes on to explain LOLER and PUWER regulations, with a theoretical test to confirm the instruction has been assimilated successfully. Following this, the operators will then be able to undertake supervised practical training, which includes lifting various objects up and down stairs, this in turn builds confidence when operating the stairclimbing equipment.

After successful completion of the training, operators will be free to use the machines to ensure they are fully confident moving forward. We also offer three-yearly refresher training courses to prevent any misuse of equipment and to keep operators are up to date on the latest developments in machines and legislation.

For exceptional candidates, we offer our ‘Train the Trainer’ courses. This particular training programme is beneficial for those looking to conduct training to other employees in their organisation.  This completed course allows the individual to act as a trained representative for their fleet of stairclimbers. This ultimately saves on time and cost for the company.

If you require any more information on our specialist training programmes, please do not hesitate to get in touch, as we are always happy to help.
