Safely moving the vulnerable on the stairs

The government’s recommendation for society to social distance during the coronavirus pandemic has left many people with a heightened feeling of isolation and anxiety.

For the most vulnerable, there can be a real sense of worry and panic, particularly if a person has a disability and is unable to freely move around unassisted.

Stanley provides mobility solutions to enable users to safely manoeuvre up and down the stairs. A mobility stair climber is widely used in domestic homes as well as in commercial environments.  Throughout the UK, we have clients across a range of industries.

A mobility stair climber such as the Jolly or Tolo allows a trained operative to manage the majority of staircases smoothly and safely, ensuring the correct body posture for the occupant. Therefore, with the help of a trained operative, independence and freedom is given back to the user.

What’s more, our solutions can be hired on a short* and long-term basis. And we have 0% finance options available.

All our machines can be regularly cleaned and wiped down to ensure the highest hygiene standards are met and allow for multi-use in a care home for example.

With every purchase, the operative is given either familiarisation training or certificated training if the machine is being used in a commercial environment.

Before a free demonstration, Stanley is required to see photographs of the stairs to check which of the wheelchair stair climbers is the best-suited to your needs.

Benefits of a mobility stair climber:

  • Smooth and comfortable ride on the stairs
  • Use in emergency procedures
  • Provides independence to the user
  • Overcomes architectural challenges
  • Eliminates the need for building or stair alterations – which could be restricted at these times
  • Push-button control
  • Competitive hire and finance options available
